# ASME Pressure Vessels

Ramco Fabricators is an [ASME](https://www.asme.org/) certified "U" stamp shop. We can design and build pressure vessels of all shapes, sizes and for various applications. We specialize in ASME Section VIII Division 1 vessels, but we would be happy to quote anything you need fabricated. Our Engineering department can design any vessel for a customer. We also offer design/calculations only, if that's all you need.

## Hydropneumatic Tanks (Drinking Water)

Ramco has a long history of designing and building hydro tanks of all sizes. We can build you a quality tank that meets ASME and [NSF](https://www.nsf.org/) specifications for drinking water use. We offer a complete package including design, fabrication, sandblasting, painting, and testing! We can also help arrange shipping to help get your tank delivered safely and promptly.

## Other ASME Code Vessels

We always love a challenge here at Ramco! Throughout our history, we have had the pleasure of designing and building some very complex vessels. Some examples include: steam tube dryers, blow tanks, flash tanks, autoclaves, sterilizers, air receivers, mix tanks, hydrolyzers, hyperbaric chambers, jacketed vessels and pressure cookers for the rendering industry. We also have the capability to produce tanks that meet other standards in addition to ASME such as CRN and PED certified vessels.

## Repairs and Alterations

We understand that sometimes customers would rather fix what they already have than buy a whole new tank. We also cater to this situation by offering our [National Board](https://www.nationalboard.org/) registered "R" stamp services. By holding this stamp, we are allowed to either repair a vessel to working condition, or alter one that may need to be modified for a customer.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Are you an ASME Code shop?

Yes! Ramco holds the ASME "U" stamp for designing and building Section VIII Division 1 pressure vessels, and every vessel we build is registered with the National Board.

### How do you weld the shell seams?

The long seams and circumferential seams on our vessel shells are welded by [submerged arc](https://ramcofabricators.com/submerged-arc-welding), which gives a deep, consistent, full-penetration weld down the whole length of the seam. Nozzles and attachments are welded by hand by our certified welders.

### Do I need to bring you a finished design?

No. Our Engineering department can design the vessel from your process requirements, or work from your drawings if you already have them. If all you need is the design and the calculations, we offer that on its own too.

### Can you repair or alter a vessel we already own?

Yes! Our National Board "R" stamp allows us to repair a vessel back to working condition or alter one that needs to be modified, so you do not have to buy a whole new tank.

### Can you build to standards other than ASME?

Yes! In addition to ASME, we can build vessels that meet CRN (Canadian Registration Number) and PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) requirements. Tell us which standard your project calls for and we will quote to it.
